Canopies
Commercial and event canopies custom-designed for your property.
Canopies are the larger cousins of awnings — often free-standing, often engineered for heavier loads, often a bigger architectural statement. We build entry canopies, drive-thru canopies, event canopies, valet canopies, and large covered outdoor work areas.
Fabric, metal, or extruded aluminum depending on use and exposure. Engineered anchorage and stamped drawings as required.

Questions we get about canopies
What's the difference between an awning and a canopy?
- Awnings are smaller and typically wall-mounted. Canopies are larger, often free-standing or column-supported, and usually more engineered. Both overlap — we build both and a lot of in-between work like covered walkways and drive-thru canopies.
Can you build free-standing canopies without attaching to the building?
- Yes — freestanding canopies are common for drive-thru bays, outdoor dining, and valet lanes. We engineer the columns and anchorage to your site conditions and wind zone.
